Former Sheriff Vanderpool Supports Donna McBride

Letter of Support – Roger Vanderpool:

Please join me in voting for Donna McBride to be our next Casa Grande mayor. There have been several letters of support for Donna already that tout her deep commitment to our youth and to our city. I want to provide an example of Councilmember McBride and how she rolls up her sleeves and gets involved to help the citizens she serves. A couple years ago I had a neighborhood code enforcement issue. I tried being the good neighbor and talking with my neighbor; when that didn’t work, I turned to the code enforcement office. While they were sympathetic, they advised me that the issue I was having fell in a gray area of the city’s ordinances...

I spoke with Donna about the issue, she came out to see the issue herself, spoke to both me and my neighbor, contacted the city manager’s office and worked to update the ordinance and to rectify the issue to the mutual satisfaction of all parties involved. Too often we hear I’m sorry but there is nothing I can do, or I’m sorry but that is not my job. Not Donna, she will work and find a way to get things done. I am fully confident that she will continue to do the same as our mayor.
